What is a shortfill e-liquid and how do they work?

Shortfill e-liquids are larger bottles of nicotine-free vape juice that are intentionally "short-filled" to leave room for adding nicotine shots if required. For example, a 60ml bottle contains 50ml of e-liquid, leaving 10ml of space for your nicotine shot. Unlike traditional 10ml e-liquids, shortfills come in 50ml, 100ml, or even 200ml bottles, offering significantly better value for money. Since TPD regulations limited nicotine e-liquids to 10ml bottles, shortfills have become a popular, fully legal way to enjoy larger volumes and customise nicotine strength.

How do shortfills work with nicotine shots?

Adding nicotine to your vape shortfill is straightforward. Just top up your e-liquid with nic shots to reach your preferred strength. For example, one 10ml (18mg) shot in a 50ml shortfill or two in a 100ml will give you around 3mg of nicotine. To do this, remove the cap and nib, add your shots, replace the nib securely, and shake well for a few minutes.

You can vape your shortfill e-liquid nicotine-free, add less for a lighter hit, or mix more for higher strength — it’s all about customising your experience.
